History and informative pleasures:
The Egyptians were the first to use essential oils and infusions. It was also believed that they were the first to extract essential oils from plants. Essential oils were used by the Egyptians to fumigate sick rooms, for baths, massage, religious ceremonies, and cosmetics. Essential oils were also useful in the mummification process, which they used, to preserve and help prevent decay and decomposition of the bodies, because of the anti-bacterial and anti-septic properties that the essential oils carried. Their High Priest Temples also contained medical formulas and perfume recipes for rituals.
Not only were the Egyptians using essential oils throughout history, but also Israel, Greece, Rome, The Arab World, India, China and areas of Europe.
